So everyone asks how I came up with my daughters name. So I am going to tell you. Rhylyn was just a "deaf" moment of mine and my husbands. The show we were watching said RILEY we heard Rhylyn. My sister in law Katie is the one who came up with the spelling though. OMG do we love the unqiueness of it. Now her middle name Laurel, that name has ALOT of meaning to me. The picture above is of one of my grade school friends, Laurel Anne Copley, she passed away August 25,1996 because of a heart issue that she had that was undetected at the time.Laurel was Born on April 8,1983. She was 13 when she left us. Since that day i always wanted to give my daughter her name either as her first or her middle name.
I believe in my heart that giving my daughter laurels name was ment to be. My daughter was born on April 5,2013. Almost 30 years to the day of Laurels April 8 birthday. When we found out we were expecting it was on August 23, almost 16 years to the day that we lost an angel. I got my girl i wanted so i could honor her. I wish i could get ahold of her parents so they would know that Laurels name will forever live on. Until i can get back to Oregon to place an annoucement and a letter to her parents on her grave site in hopes of them getting it, she will forever be in my home and in my heart.
Thank you Laurel for giving me 3 years of friendship and a LIFETIME of happiness just for knowing you. You were one in a million to make such an impact in my life and the life of others. Keep flying high above us and keep us safe.Gone to soon.
